3 Business Ideas

Technology is always involving and part of being an entrepreneur is keeping up with evolving ideas and creating next generation technologies. When we were given the task of coming up with three business ideas, i thought of "what would make good money and what is something that people will buy". With out further adieu, here goes:
  1. Mobile Driven Lighting System

·       How many times have you been in bed and forgot to turn off the light? How many times have you gotten in your car and forgot to turn off the light in your house? Do you like saving money in your energy bill? The idea of being able to control the simplest of task without moving a muscle seems like it would make life easier. Since we carry our cellphones and tablets everywhere we go, we can use it remotely to our benefits. The system would control all lights in a house and have the capability to turn them on or off as desired. The system will also work with your temperature/furnace by having the power to turn heat on or off as you desire.
  1. Electronic Recycling
·       Most homeowners have pickup bins for recycling things like paper, glass, and plastic but there aren’t any bins made for recycling electronics and batteries. Misuse and not properly recycling these products can be harmful to the environment and create landfills. My idea is to offer a service to pickup electronics from your house like broken radios, cellphones, televisions, and laptops and export them to an electronic recycling facility. I would charge subscribers by weight or a monthly flat rate.
  1. Pet Training App
·       I currently have a kitten who I’ve tired to tame this wild animal but have failed miserably. With cellphones dominating our lives and being an integral part of our well being, why not use it to our advantage by having an app dedicated to training your pet. The app would be available on three different platforms: iOS, Android, and Windows. When the app is opened, it’ll ask the user to create an account, once account is created the user will be walked through a series of setup tactics to determine the type of animal the owner has. The app will alert the owner when it’s time for training. The app also includes tips/tricks, daily goals, random fact of the day, and geo-tagging locator where local users of the app can meet at local parks an have pet parties.
  1. Mobile Childcare Services
·       Another app generated business idea. At some point, most of us will start families and have kids. In order to provide for yourself and your kids you’ll have to find a job and work. While working you’ll need someone to watch your children and care for them. Hiring a nanny is an option but what about having a mobile childcare service. With this service you will be given an app where the provider will log in hours, food fed, daily activities, and homework completion to a database that can be accessed through an app. This app will also have an extra feature for an extra cost that will allow the user to install cameras around the house and can be accessed via live feed on the app.
